These past 3 years have bear witness to an extensive cost-cutting measures, as the industry continues to adapt with the challenging financial & geopolitical landscape. The trend is likely to continue, given that the long-term oil price is expected to hover around USD 40 – 60 per barrel. This session seeks to bring together respective leaders from host authorities, operating companies and service providers to share their insights and deliberate on areas of collaboration to ensure that investments remain attractive in spurring further growth and development of the industry.

In this novel session three experts from leading integrated service companies are challenged to provide their unique glimpse into a possible future geophysical universe.  The speakers will use brief statements and answer audience questions to inform the audience on key technologies such as full waveform inversion, imaging with multiples, cost effective seismic acquisition, imaging resolution, and integration of appropriate additional geoscience information to deliver the best subsurface models that impact the decision making process.  To get a perspective on where geophysics is heading this session is not to be missed.
